• Do I need AISC certification to bid on projects?
Yes. Many public and private projects now require AISC certification just to be considered. Without it, you’re often disqualified—no matter how experienced your crew is or how low your price comes in.
•What’s the difference between Fabricator and Erector certification?
They’re two separate tracks with different requirements. Fabricator Certification applies to shop operations. Erector Certification focuses on field erection. If you are fabricating and erecting structural steel, you may need both.
• How long does the process take?
It depends on your current systems, but many companies can get certified in 3–6 months with expert help. Trying to go it alone? then, it may take up to a year. Expect delays and do-overs.
• Can you help if we failed our audit?
Absolutely. Several Clients have come to me after failing the first time. I’ll help you fix what went wrong and to pass your next audit—with confidence.
• What’s the cost of certification?
AISC charges a base fee for the audit. Our consulting rates are fixed and transparent—typically a fraction of what you’d lose by delaying or failing certification.
